Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actress for film as well as on stage since the latter part of 1970. She's been a professional actor for 27 years. She started her professional career in 1990, in a non Broadway production called The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. In The Perfect Tribute, she was given her first TV appearance the following year. In 1992, when she was a supporting character in the film Basic Instinct, her career took off. The Firm is where she first made her appearance as a female actor opposite Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. In the 90s, her work included working alongside top Hollywood stars such as Gwyneth as in Sliding doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews Relative Values. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
